Valentine Bird Appliqué {tutorial}

This is my first tutorial on something like this so please if you have questions or comments (good or bad) please let me know. I would really like to add more tutorials for sewing and anything else I can do. Sewing is a passion of mine and im all self taught with a tad bit of help from my mom during my teen years. There might be an easier way out there to do something or a way you like to do it, so you dont have to do it all my way.

First its always best to wash and dry the shirt you plan to use. You can print off the pattern for the bird and heart here. Then choose your fabrics. I love this damask fabric from Hobby Lobby , ive used it many times!

Supplies
Shirt
Fabric, i will be using damask for the birds and a hot pink for the heart.
Iron
if you want to sew it a sewing machine and matching thread

I trace my pattern onto the smooth side of heat and bond. Makes it easier to cut out.
Iron on to your fabric. Make sure the rough side of the heat and bond is on the wrong side of your fabric.

Cut out your birds and heart

this is what you will have when you have cut all the pieces out.

Iron your shirt in half to find the center and place your pieces so they are even and where you want them to be.

Peal of the smooth backing and iron on the shirt

Now you can sew this but its not necessary.
I have and I haven't done it on appliquéd shirts.
I very clearly need to practice my sewing small things. Oh boy this just does not look good.

Here is the finished full shirt.

If you do this please let me know and show me, I would love to see your work!
